Feather & BelleHidden Staircase
While crows and cardinals hunkered deep in their nests, the Memorial Day rain silenced their song. While crows and cardinals hunkered deep in their nests, the Memorial Day rain silenced their song. Rivulets, accompanied by an unexpected chill in the air, streamed down the windows of a Victorian Nashville abode –rerouting the hopeful plans of a holiday canoe trip. Inside their home, two best friends found themselves similarly hunkered down on their bare wood floor, sitting cross-legged, listening to the rain, and trying to fill their silence with song.
Perhaps these outside patters were what lulled their inside ears into songwriting inspiration.
Perhaps the echoes against the plaster walls of a hollow room characterized the music from their violin and piano with a certain resonating intrigue.
Maybe it was the careless nature of an unintentional collaboration with no rules –in that marked moment– that allowed two artists to create what has now become an unrivaled brand of orchestral indie pop music.
Or, perhaps Feather & Belle dawned that day simply because two friends wanted to create their favorite kind of art… so they decided to spread their wings.
With respective roots in Minnesota and North Carolina, best friend duo Kelsey Kopecky and Laura Musten both followed their individual heartbeats to Nashville and landed at Belmont University where they first met. Bouts of laughter and a love for making music quickly forged a friendship that would soon frame their melodious partnership as Feather & Belle.
Now, this compelling musical collaboration is not only rooted in deep friendship, but is also characterized by their diverse experiences in the music industry.
Kelsey tours the country writing music, singing and playing keys in indie-rock band of brothers, the Kopecky Family Band.
Laura – established as a recognizable studio and performing violinist in Nashville – plays for artists like Brooke Waggoner, Chris Tomlin, and the Trans Siberian Orchestra. In addition, she currently tours with global electronic act, Owl City.
After writing songs drenched in lessons from classical music studies that musically agree with the pop sensibilities of Fiest, Andrew Bird, Regina Spektor, or Grizzly Bear, Feather & Belle is now making their debut with an 11 song album in hand, Pockets Run Deep.
This album is in equal parts lovely and haunting, cinematic and thought-provoking, colorful and timeless. Tuning wine glasses to hover over their haunting ballad for jackals, “Zombie”, Feather & Belle present a battle between good and evil told in a 3 movement orchestral composition laced with whispers and wind-chimes. Whether it is the retro handclaps in their Motown influenced tune, “Tennessee Baby”, or lush string orchestration in songs like “Dress”, Pockets Run Deep is truly a visual narrative that showcases the grand nature of these multi-instrumentalist songwriters.
And so the story of best friends turned band begins. The sun is beaming through their windows, and Feather & Belle have a song to sing to the world. After all, birds of a feather will find a way… to flock together.

An amalgamation of an existing hip-hop act and three outside musicians, the fivesome came together from diverse musical backgrounds, but with a common goal – to play legendary live shows and to push themselves to new heights.
Over the last five years the group has made it their business to grind: a business that they have grown to excel at. This work ethic has garnered them an array of D.I.Y. successes, and also left them with a reputation for being professional, reliable and dedicated, making them a favourite among promoters, tour managers, club owners, producers, and fans alike. They’re live shows are second to none, with an energy that is unrivalled and uncompromised, an energy that never dwindles or stutters, whether they’re rocking for 1000 people or 10.
The sound is an extraordinary hybrid of rock, hip-hop and funk, often likened to a raw collision of Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Rage Against The Machine. It is bursting with an undeniable edge that grabs the audience, whether witnessing the live event or listening at home. The group continues to write these high-energy songs while encompassing ever-stronger song writing techniques that are helping their music find mass appeal, while never losing touch with their roots, their fans, or their reasons for making music in the first place.
In April/May of last year MicLordz & Sauce Funky entered the studio again, more prepared than ever with true songwriting in mind as they laid it down. They are armed with new songs that truly represent their talent, creativity, and professionalism. We are sure you’ll agree.
The music is real. The band is real. Their story and struggle is real. Allow yourself a pat on the back, for you have stumbled upon a gem. Welcome to the world of MLSF.

In the beginning of 2011, we changed direction and began recording a full-length original album. This album, entitled "Fight For This Crime" and released in November 2011, is our first venture outside of Christmas music.
Our sound could be called "Symphonic Metal", combining the guitar-driven force of hard rock with the sweep and grandeur of symphonic music. With influences as wide-ranging as Yanni, Metallica, and Within Temptation, our variety of instrumentation allows for some big arrangements.
Amalie Marte - Vocals
Trevor Murch - Guitar
Lamont Miles - Guitar
Ryan Rauch - Bass
Jesse Slippy - Drums

Front woman Stella Katsoudas first conceived of Sister Soleil as a project that could push the boundaries of genre, incorporating the dark sounds of Chicago Industrial as easily as it does Pop. The music has been built on the principle of cooperation. The journey first began at legendary Chicago Trax recording studios where she collaborated with such artists as Ministry and producer Howie Beno. It was a time of experimentation and, although there were many bands she participated with, something about the Sister Soleil material began to capture everyone's imagination. The first independent release, "Drown Me In You," drew acclaim and generated regular airplay on some of the country's largest alternative stations.
Grey Parker had been working in one of Stella's side projects when she approached him to inquire if he might be interested in building Soleil into a full live act. He was. Soon, their mixture of theatricality and diverse sounds was turning heads and packing rooms. The adventure led to a contract with Universal and the subsequent major label debut, "Soularium," recorded at Peter Gabriel's Real World Studios.
A solo career followed under the name Stella Soleil.
In 2006, longtime friend Shawn Crahan of Slipknot joined Stella in creating the heavy, experimental act "Dirty Little Rabbits."
The allure of renewing Sister Soleil drew Stella into the studio with producer Ed Antone and 2010 saw the release of "Eskimo."
Her recent return to Chicago led to a reunion with Grey Parker and a merging of their passion for music with their intense commitment to the anti-bullying movement. Joined by talented mutlti-instrumentalist Peter Bisinov, work began in earnest on two fronts; music and organization on behalf of troubled youth. The philosophy of the band was always about the power of every individual and the respect for expression. Now, there is a synergy between these two pursuits.
With new material developing and a new live show on the horizon, Sister Soleil plans to carry their music and their message far and wide.
Sister Soleil is not just a band. It's a team.
Even at a whisper, their voice is power.

With their sophomore release, Where My Communist Heart Meets My Capitalist Mind, Sounds Under Radio continues to build upon the foundational musical truths that they established through their first full length release Cinematica (2008). These are the contrasts between light and dark, guarded and vulnerable, specific and vague that yield a stadium sized, anthemic musical demeanor juxtaposed with quiet, personal intimacy. Through their highly melodic Americanized Brit Rock flair (reminiscent of bands like Muse, Brand New, Dredge and Editors) this Austin TX rock quartet have forged an audience and a sound uniquely their own.
Members Lang Freeman, Bradley Oliver, Sonny Sanchez and Doug Wilson, first began to collaborate in mid 2005. In 2008, following complicated label politics at Epic Records, the band regained their independence and self-released Cinematica which was followed by 2 years of heavy grassroots national touring in support of the album. Since 2007 the band has found a string of successes in film and TV with placements in Spider Man 3 (Sony Pictures), The Wolfman (Universal Pictures), War Games: The Dead Code (MGM Pictures) and most recently in the CW's 'The Vampire Diaries.'
By every account Where My Communist Heart Meets My Capitalist Mind is a record about politics- though it has nothing to do with domestic or international affairs. It is a record about people and the internal governing of the self. This is a record about the HEAD versus the HEART and how we choose to cope with their agreements and their disagreements. It explores the outcomes of when they either align, or don’t. This album is a living document of Sounds Under Radio as musicians, friends and people sifting through their our own broken pieces, reopening wounds of personal war and confronting their own deepest scars.
Utilizing themes of propaganda and covert communication, the band's ever present morse code logo also plays an integral roll in both the art and concept of this record. This is an album that investigates a marriage of opposites and the collision of conflicting forces. Intimacy is merged with moments of grandeur and beautiful things are destroyed by the grotesque... all with the purpose of seeing what remains when the dust settles. The album is slated for release May 3rd, 2011 through The Musebox / EMI.

Stand and deliver just doesn't cut it anymore. The music landscape and movement is evolving. These changes have strengthened the mass of musicians, and subsequently shortened the climb to a studio album. However, this music barrage makes support from a record label nearly impossible for anything other than a unique sound with meaning; a sound with truth. The journey is lost without the struggles along the way and music comprised with such emotion is what sets a band apart from many. A sound which lacks true expression of life experiences, conviction and creativity, will no longer render support from labels or fans.
Refusing to settle for what speaks TO them, listeners now find themselves drawn to what speaks FOR them; authenticity both in writing and in sound is what captivates.

Started in the fall of 2010 by George Silva, Jimmy Arguello, Lenny Fuson & Steve Ellis
TFSP began as a project never meant to see the light of day, nothing more than a side project of very close friends but shortly after rehearsal began it became clear that what was coming out was so inspired and fueled by passion and love for real, honest, original rock music that it was destined for big things.
Just four short weeks after the bands inception, the four friends went in to Rainbow Trout Studios to record their first 4 song.
That would soon become the EP that the band has been touring relentlessly in support of since its release in February 2011.
Having played more than 80 shows in the first 8 months of the bands touring career, TFSP has already shared the stage w/ Nationally acclaimed artists like Avenged Sevenfold, Three Days Grace, Sevendust, Seether, Anchored, Bullet For My Valentine, Blacktide, Escape The Fate, Royal Bliss, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, My Darkest Days, 10 Years, Art Of Dying, Madlife, Hell Or High Water, Candlelight Red, Static Cycle, Adler's Appetite and more. The band recently finished up recording their new 7 song EP and are hoping for a release later this winter.
TFSP decided on adding guitarist and close friend Tony Ari to complete the bands sound and now feel complete but even more of a force to be reconed with.
Between tours and studio time, TFSP also secured a spot on the 2011 Rock Star Uproar Festival when it stopped at The Spokane Arena.
The band prides themselves on putting on a high energy live show and pours it's heart into every performance.
"Making the fans stoked and making new friends at every tour stop is what this band is all about" says guitarist George Silva.
TFSP has already sealed endorsement deals with Basson Cabinets, Maxline Custom Road Cases, Monster Energy Drink, Bleeding Star Clothing, SW plugs and are always looking for more endorsement opportunities.
The band is also seeking professional Street Team persons, Management, Booking and a Label to call home.
The Fail Safe Project is destined for greatness and the sky is the limit.

These days, in the world of rock, too often do wires get crossed in a snarly network of countless subgenres and categories. New bands that are said to be the Second Coming are all too often the first to be going. It's fierce survival of the fittest out there, but it seems like change for the better has started to take place out of some cities. From Seattle, a five-piece band called Underride has begun a revival of sorts, zapping the apathetic scene, using their hooky, guitar-driven brand of rock like a high-voltage cattle prod. “We're trying to save rock and roll. It feels like it's kind of drifting away...it's time to bring it back up," explains Rev, Underride's lead singer. He, along with guitarists Suzuki Sixx and Princess, bassist El Barto, and drummer Double A, blast forth a sound which is a hybrid of melodic hard rock with catchy choruses and a pop sensibility. Within the sonic stew of Underride lies a myriad of musical influence and flavor--a stew singed and seared from a recipe distinguishably all their own. Crank up a song like the lyrically poignant, "Another Way Out" and you'll hear a sound like a hard rock love child conceived from a wild, drunken hump on the hot hood of a nitro-burning funny car. While real, day-to-day life subject matter is their songs, Underride eschews the doomsday drivel which is the typical shit du jour so many of their contemporaries are serving up. Underride has garnered a strong following in the Pacific Northwest by word of mouth alone from their dynamic live shows and regional events, snatching airplay and concert promotion from Seattle's KISW 99.9 FM, and have begun to stab cities outward in the U.S. They've opened for the likes of many national acts, including CAVO, Static X, Duff McKagan's Loaded, COLD, Trust Company, 30 Seconds to Mars, Saliva, Tantric, Man Made Machine, Edisun, Abused Romance, Divide the Day, and Jet Black Stare. The release of Distorted Nation, the follow-up to the breakout, One of Us (2008), will reaffirm the quintet's chokehold on the world of rock.
