ADAMS RADIO GROUP SALISBURY/OCEAN CITY Active Rock WZBH (93.5 THE BEACH) PD JOHNNY MAZE checks in to announce that CAROLINA has joined as the new Music Director/Middays on WZBH. She comes from sister ADAMS RADIO GROUP LAS CRUCES, NEW MEXICO where she was on air at KHQT/KSNM. Previous experience for CAROLINA includes her time at KFMA in Tuscon, AZ. MAZE crosses the hall where he was on the air in afternoons at sister Classic Rock WGBG BIG 98.5 to host afternoons on The Beach. Rounding out the lineup, WZBH signs HARDDRIVE XL to be heard every weeknight from 7p – 12a.
Foo Fighters have been rolling out new songs in the live setting of late, which teased the fact that new music was en route. We can now tell you that the band has a new album titled Concrete and Gold that’s set to arrive on Sept. 15 via Roswell Records / RCA.
“I wanted it to be the biggest sounding Foo Fighters record ever. To make a gigantic rock record but with Greg Kurstin’s sense of melody and arrangement… Motorhead’s version of Sgt. The 11th annual Rock On The Range was the festival’s biggest year yet, with a sellout crowd of 135,000 in attendance May 19, 20 & 21 at MAPFRE Stadium in Columbus, OH. Though the weekend began with challenges due to inclement weather and the unexpected tragedy of Chris Cornell’s passing, in the end the music and performances shone through. Through these challenges, Rock On The Range carried on, sets were rescheduled to accommodate the weather delays, and the weekend was capped by a first-ever ROTR performance from the legendary Metallica. It may have surprised a few earlier this month when it was revealed that Buckcherry‘s Josh Todd and Stevie D were starting up a new group known as Josh Todd & the Conflict, but that apparently is just the beginning of a bigger shakeup in the Buckcherry ranks. Todd’s longtime cohort in Buckcherry, guitarist Keith Nelson, and drummer Xavier Muriel have both exited the band.
Stevie D. confirmed the news in a social media posting, while also stating that the band plans to honor their scheduled Buckcherry dates with Kevin Roentgen and Sean Winchester sitting in on their summer shows. Winchester is also the drummer for Josh Todd & the Conflict.
Performance times have been announced for the sold out Rock On The Range, held May 19, 20 and 21 at MAPFRE Stadium in Columbus, OH. Rock legends Metallica, Soundgarden and Korn will each headline one night of America’s largest and most-acclaimed rock festival, now in its 11th year. In addition, the full lineup has been announced for the Rolling Rock Comedy Tent, led by Jim Breuer, Nikki Glaser, and Tony Hinchcliffe.

Killswitch Engage’s Alive or Just Breathing (Roadrunner) was released on May 21, 2002 and has since secured its reputation as a modern classic, as noted by its election to Decibel’s elite Hall of Fame canon. The record celebrates its 15th anniversary this year. The band, which released its most recent album Incarnate in March 2016, is commemorating the occasion with an 180-gram black vinyl version of the album that drops on May 12.
Before founding Trans-Siberian Orchestra and playing guitar in the group, O’Neill worked for Leber-Krebs Inc., the management company that helped launch the careers of Aerosmith, AC/DC, Def Leppard, Ted Nugent, The New York Dolls, Scorpions, Joan Jett and many others. He later made a name for himself as a prolific producer. O’Neill’s first major releases came with Aerosmith’s Classics Live I and Classics Live II in 1986 and 1987, respectively. From there, he became the go-to producer and co-writer for Savatage, manning the board for 10 albums from the American band. (more…)
Simon Soderberg, also known as Alpha, the former guitarist of Ghost, has revealed the identities of all the Nameless Ghouls that are suing frontman Tobias Forge, while also opening up on the whole situation with the following Facebook statement (via Reddit):
“As of yesterday we, four signatories from the band Ghost, have filed a lawsuit with the Linkoping District Court. We are suing Tobias Forge (‘Papa Emeritus’) – the band’s lead singer who has also been responsible for the finances of the band since its founding.
“As of the filing of this lawsuit we are requesting that the court, under penalty, oblige Tobias Forge to declare the incomes as well as expenses of the band concerning the years between 2011 and 2016. (more…)
