In his new position, GUZIK will lead the charge for radio promotion representing Red Bull Records’ talented and emerging artists–AWOLNATION, Black Gold,Innerpartysystem and Twin Atlantic. There will be several more weeks of Old Man Winter beginning this March. Wait, what? While it doesn’t matter if the groundhog showed his shadow or not, mid-March means spring is on its way. But it’s going to stay chilly, since rock band Cold will hit the road with Egypt Central and Kopek — both of whom recently premiered songs on Noisecreep — in tow. The tour is dubbed A Tour of the American Dream, and it kicks off March 15 in Atlanta.
Cold will be touring in advance support of their upcoming fifth album, ‘Superfiction,’ which is due out this summer. You can check out the new song ‘Wicked World.’ Tickets for the Cold tour dates are on sale now.
Thirty Seconds To Mars today announced dates for a new North American spring tour starting April 8th in San Jose, CA running through May 6th in Toronto, ON. The new dates include a very special hometown show on April 9th at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles and a headlining appearance at The Bamboozle festival on April 29th in East Rutherford, NJ (full schedule below).
Since the Dec. 8th, 2009 release of the band’s critically acclaimed third album This Is War (Virgin Records), Thirty Seconds To Mars have played to over 2 million people in 100 cities in 30 different countries, selling out arenas around the world. After taking time off to record and tour with Them Crooked Vultures, rock musician Josh Homme is now rededicated to an earlier project. Queens of the Stone Age, which Homme fronts, has announced its plans to tour North America this spring.
The tour’s 20-date routing kicks off March 18 at One Eyed Jacks in New Orleans, LA, and continues through an April 12 gig at the Wiltern in Los Angeles, CA. (more…)
Foo Fighters have named their new album. The band’s seventh studio record will be titled Wasting Light and will be available on April 12. The lead single for the new effort by Dave Grohl and company will be “Rope.”
Producer Butch Vig helmed the sessions for the album, which was recorded in Grohl’s garage.
The album features a mini-Nirvana reunion. Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic guests on Wasting Light, which, of course, features former Nirvana drummer Grohl and Nevermind producer Vig.
The tour will feature special guests Three Days Grace on each stop of the tour. Also appearing will be Sevendust from April 22nd through May 1st and Bullet For My Valentine from May 3rd through May 20th. (more…)
